The Northwest Outdoors Building at the Washington State Fair offers hands-on activities for children during the month of September. Shoot bow & arrow, try your hand at BB Gun shooting, catch a fish and more! Located near the south end of the skyride, near the hot tub vendors.

Archery Shooting with Skookum Archers

Try out a bow and arrow in the Skookum Archers indoor archery range.

BSA BB Gun Shooting Gallery

Pacific Harbors Council, Boy Scouts of America presents:
BB Gun Shooting at the Washington State Fair.

Come test your shooting skills at the Northwest Outdoors Building BSA Shooting Gallery!

Parent permission required to shoot, shooting times are between Noon and 6:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on other weeknights, during the 2018 Washington State Fair.

Kids Fish-In Trout Fishing Pond

Kids, try your skill at trout fishing in our own 'fishing hole' at the Northwest Outdoors Building, presented by the South Sound Chapter of the Puget Sound Anglers.

Fishing poles are provided, come on down and see if you can catch one!

Fishing times are Noon to 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the 2018 Washington State Fair.

Snowshoeing In September

Presented by the Northwest Outdoors Building and Mount Rainier National Park

Did you ever wonder what it would be like to walk while wearing snowshoes?
Hereís your chance!
Kids (even adults) are welcome to try snowshoeing at the Washington State Fair on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Labor Day between noon and 6 PM in the Northwest Outdoors Building.

We canít provide snow but straw is a good substitute. It can even be a little slippery like the snow.

Rangers and volunteers from Mount Rainier National Park will help you on with the snowshoes and give you a few tips on how to walk with snowshoes. Try them out on our short trail surrounded by native trees and other native plants.

LeMay Recycling Information - Do's & Dont's

Our booth at the Northwest Outdoors Building displays information to educate and answer questions on to what can and can not be recycled. We strongly encourage everyone to properly dispose of all solid waste and to protect our outdoors environment from litter and debris. 'We want to keep all of our outdoors it in itís natural beauty'.
